Brooklyn Against Empire presents A Movie Night and fundraiser for Gazan medical students. Join us every first Tuesday of the month for a night of community building while kicking back and enjoying art with your neighbors. June’s movie focuses on the federal government’s suppression of anti-war activists who dared to protest the DNC, and the legal fight it spurred. 100% of the proceeds goes to the tuition of 5 refugees from Gaza who have been permitted to continue their medical education in Malaysia. In order to sit for their annual exams and continue their schooling, the students must pay 30% of their tuition, just $1,530 per student for the year.
