Film Screening: Leila & The Wolves

A film screening of Leila and the Wolves (1984) by Henry Srour. This is a semi-documentary film showing fictionalized depictions of the collective memory of the role of women in Palestinian/Lebanese liberation. There will also be a screening of the short film “South Lebanon: The Story of a Village Under Seige" (1976). Made by Jocelyne Saab, this short is about a small village in the titular South Lebanon occupied by a far-right paramilitary group that Israel supported to ensure its not recaptured by Palestinian forces.
