Raise your voice in joyous collective song at this evening of music by and for the working class, hosted by Sing in Solidarity! It’s totally free so all are invited to sing, play, or just clap along. Lyrics packets will be provided. Hootenannies are participatory musical gatherings rooted in the 1940s Greenwich Village folk scene, where left-wing musicians hosted collective singing parties blending music, storytelling, and politics. Even through the Red Scare, these gatherings sustained protest culture. Sing in Solidarity proudly carries that revolutionary tradition forward today.
